The questions everyone asks.
Why is there a setup fee at all? Most SaaS just charges monthly.+
Because Lumara is not a sign-up-and-go invoicing tool. Real implementation work happens: we migrate your data from Excel + Tally, configure your branches and catalog, set up your WhatsApp Business account with Meta, deploy the Tally connector on your server, and train your team across 7 roles. That work costs us 60–120 days of a real implementation engineer's time. The setup fee covers it honestly. The benefit: ongoing monthly stays much lower than competitors (₹3K–9K vs the typical ₹5K–7K for less capable products).
How does the total cost compare over 3 years?+
Atelier Year 1: ₹5,49,000 setup + ₹44,999 annual = ₹5,93,999. Year 2 and 3: ₹44,999 each. Three-year total ≈ ₹6,83,997 — averaging ~₹19K/month. That's less than two full-time SaaS subscriptions (Zoho One + Tally Prime would be more than that for the same team size), and you get an OS, not three disconnected tools.
Why is the monthly so much cheaper than your competitors?+
Most window-coverings ERP vendors maintain native iOS + Android apps — that's 2 mobile teams worth of cost passed on to you. Lumara is PWA-only (one codebase serves desktop browser and phone field-staff). We pass that saving on as a lower monthly. The trade-off: we can't live in the App Store. The benefit: you pay 30–40% less every month, forever.
Do you offer founding-customer discounts?+
Yes. The first 15 customers across all tiers get 40% off the setup fee and have their monthly rate locked for life. In return we ask for product input — quarterly 30-minute sessions on what you wish Lumara did better. We want partners who shape the product, not just buyers.
Can I pay setup in instalments?+
Yes — 50% at kick-off, 25% at training completion, 25% at go-live. For annual subscriptions we can also amortize the setup over Year 1 (slightly higher monthly, no upfront lump sum). Talk to us during your demo.
Can I move tiers later?+
Yes — up any month, prorated immediately. Down at the annual renewal. Moving up does not trigger a new setup fee; we just re-configure the additional branches and you pay the difference between your old and new monthly. No "lock-in upgrade" tricks.
What if I cancel?+
Annual contracts can be cancelled at renewal — no auto-renew without 30-day email notice. The setup fee is non-refundable after kick-off (the work was done). On cancellation you get 90 days of read-only access to export everything as PDF + CSV, plus a full SQL dump on request.
GST invoicing?+
Yes. Lumara is billed by DataCaffe Technologies Pvt. Ltd., GSTIN registered in Maharashtra. You get a proper tax invoice for setup and every monthly cycle — addressed to your business GSTIN so input credit works correctly.
